Terms of Service

1. What Eivor is

Eivor is an email client developed by Power of Dreams AB ("we", "us"). Eivor fetches, displays, and sends email through your existing email accounts (Office 365, Gmail, IMAP). We do not store your passwords in plain text and we do not operate our own mail server for your messages.

2. Your account

You create an Eivor account using your email address. Login is done with a one-time code — we do not handle passwords. You are responsible for keeping access to your email secure, as it serves as your login method.

3. What we store

• Locally on your device: Email messages, attachments, calendar events, and search indexes are stored locally in an encrypted database. This is at the core of Eivor's design — your data stays on your computer.
• On our server: Your Eivor account (email address, display name), OAuth tokens (encrypted), snooze timestamps, and calendar events (for cross-device sync). We never store your email messages or attachments on our server.
• AI features: If you use Eivor's AI features (summarization, categorization), relevant text excerpts are sent to an AI provider (currently OpenAI) for processing. We do not save AI requests or responses.

4. Your data — your right

You own your data. We use it solely to provide the service. We never sell your data, never show ads based on your email content, and do not share your data with third parties except:

• When required to provide the service (e.g. Microsoft Graph API for Office 365 sync)
• When required by law

You can delete your Eivor account and all server-stored data at any time through the settings.

5. Acceptable use

Use Eivor to manage your email — not to send spam, distribute malware, or violate laws. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that abuse the service.

6. Availability and liability

We do our best to keep Eivor fast and reliable, but we cannot guarantee 100% uptime. Eivor is provided as-is. We are not liable for lost messages, sync issues caused by your email provider, or damages arising from use of the service.

Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid for Eivor in the preceding 12 months (or $0 if you are using a free version).

7. Changes

We may update these terms. For material changes, we will notify you via email or in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by Swedish law. Any disputes shall be settled by Swedish courts, with the District Court of Stockholm as the court of first instance.
